So, Since there is a small lack of freebies and grocery store deals to take advantage at the moment, I want to tell you all in the Houston area about a really cool place that is like Moody Gardens Aquarium but on a smaller scale. It's called Sea Center Texas, it has lots of fish, a touch tank, a hatchery area that you can tour, a marshland, and very knowledgeable staff, the best thing of all is it is completely free (they do accept donations though)! I was very impressed at how much the staff members were able to teach us in just the short time we were there.
A couple months later I went to Moody Gardens to take my little sister for part of a Christmas present. The place is over-crowded, over-priced and the staff barely knows how to give directions to the bathrooms. The only thing that Moody Gardens has that Sea Center Texas doesn't have are penguins. We still had a good time, but I probably won't be going back there for a long time.
I definitely recommend Sea Center Texas over Moody Gardens any day.
